Not bad for a day’s work!

On Friday 14th October six intrepid volunteers started their assault on the Fishers Arms to do the prep work to allow contractors to begin the skilled work of refurbishing the pub.

They removed the old bar, lifted and removed the old carpets and unwanted wall cladding, knocked down the stone fireplace in the lounge, and stripped wallpaper in two of the upstairs room. Many thanks to our volunteers for all their hard work and congratulations on the brilliant progress they made. It is very exciting to see progress on the building begin!

On Friday 21st October we are hoping to complete the prep work. For insurance reasons only six people can volunteer in the pub at one time. If you are interested in helping out, please get in contact with Neill Berry via contact@fishersarmshorncliffe.org to be added to the volunteer rota.

We still need funds to move the project forward. You can still buy shares in the project until 31st October 2022 or donate.

Well done to our volunteers, you were all amazing!
